Alban Feraud studied Modern Optics in “Université de Caen” and “Bristol University”, and telecommunication in “Ecole Supérieure d’électricité”. He worked for more than 15 years for IDEMIA in which he had roles position in R&D. Also for more than 10 years, he has been representing IDEMIA in various normalization bodies such as ISO, CEN or ICAO and regulations related to digital trust.

3 years ago he joined the strategic marketing department within the Citizen Identity Business Line in charge of International Organizations & Regulatory Affairs.

Alban FERAUD has more than 15 years’ experience  both in normalization & regulatory issues related to digital identity, travel document & digital security, and participates in numerous standardization groups worldwide.

 

Overview of current & past activities in IDEMIA

Alban Feraud has strong expertise in IT security certification including common criteria. He worked and managed numerous security certification project within IDEMIA (common criteria, FIPS,…), and participated in elaborating reference documents in relation certification authority (protection profiles, application notes).

Alban Feraud is in charge of representing IDEMIA within various entities and also organizes the contribution of the company by coordinating various internal departments. He is deeply involved in the normalization works related to the secure identity documents (Identity cards, passport,…), through ISO, ICAO, the European Commission, but also the SIA (Secure Identity Alliance). In particular, he has been involved in travel document normalization for more than 10 years.

Alban Feraud He also has strong expertise in digital identity & electronic signature both from the technical and legal standpoint, and in particular in the eIDAS regulation in Europe and its implementation.

 

He also filled several patents (more than 10).
