The eID Forum was present on the EReg Association General Meeting & Annual Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, and established a new Strategic Partnership.
The EReg Association invited the eID Forum, represented by its chairman Konstantin Papaxanthis (Sweden), to participate in the General Meeting & Annual Conference, which took place on the 9th and 10th May 2019.
About 100 attendees from 29 different countries partook in a very inspiring programme. Road Administrations from Finland, Norway, The Netherlands, France, Poland, Portugal and Estonia, presented their latest contributions and developments within Vehicle Identification, eGovernance and connected societies, Mobile Driving License initiatives and Data Exchange services within the road administration area.
During the meeting, the EReg's Chairman, Servi J. Beckers, and eID Forum's Chairman, Konstantin Papaxanthis, announced a partnership between the two entities. As a result, an invitation was extended to all members of the Annual Meeting to participate in the forthcoming eID Forum, taking place on the 17th and 18th September 2019 in Tallinn, Estonia.
The eID Forum's aims to promote and support the latest developments within the digitalisation movement throughout different vertical markets, where the Road Administration and Vehicle Safety domain is taking the lead.
AAMVA, the eID Forum's partner, was also present on the EReg meeting.
